Day 1: Arrival to Tangier

Transfer from the airport or ferry terminal to your hotel. You have time to explore this bustling port city that was once the playground of international socialites, including writers, artists, musicians and politicians. (Paul Bowles). The city is a lively, cosmopolitan and historic Mediterranean where you get to explore a number of museums and sites. Overnight in the Hotel.

Day 2: Fes - Chefchaouen

Today we head toward Chefchaouen, a beautiful blue and whitewashed Andalucian town nestled in the Rif Mountains. The town is relaxed, with small winding alleyways and market squares, where the women of the surrounding Rif come to sell their hand made products. Dinner is at the hotel.

Day 3: Chefchaouen - Fes

We travel to Morocco’s most fascinating city and the world’s last surviving Medieval city. You will tour the medina with its “souks” (markets) stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th-century Karouine Mosque and University. You will visit the tomb of the city founder, Moulay Idris II.

Lunch will be at one of the traditional restaurants in the old medina. After lunch, you will continue to explore the Najarine Fountain, the gateway of the Bab Boujloud, the old harem gardens and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, we will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Mausoleum and a famous tannery where skins are cured and dyed in enormous vats.

Day 4: Fes - Beni Mellal - Marrakech

Departure to Marrakech passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Berber village of Ifrane and Azrou. Free time for optional lunch break and a moment of relaxation in Beni Mellal, one of the agricultural centers of Morocco. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Check in at the hotel and overnight with dinner at the hotel.

Day 5: Marrakech Guided Tour

Visit of historical Marrakech: the Menara garden, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Minaret and the Majorelle Gardens named after the famous French painter, who constructed here his art deco villa and started the botanical gardens. In 1980, it became the residence of Saint Laurent.

Afternoon visit the famous Djemaa El Fna square with its surrounding souks and handicraft quarters. Moroccan tea is served at the “Maison de la photographie”, a riad in the old town, where one can admire an amazing photo collection of “Landscape and Faces of Morocco” made between 1870 and 1950. This evening there is an optional to attend Fantasia Show with dinner. Overnight with dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Marrakech - Casablanca

We have this morning at leisure for last minute shopping or relaxing. This afternoon we depart for Casablanca. Overnight with dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Casablanca - Tangier

After breakfast at the hotel, you will enjoy the beautiful and gorgeous mosque of Hassan II. Then, depart towards the north. You will stop along the way to take pictures, relax and enjoy the scenery of the region. Arrival to Tangier by late afternoon. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 8: Tangier - Airport

On the morning, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

How long are the driving distances?

Driving times vary from 3-6 hours per day depending on the route, with regular stops at scenic viewpoints, villages, and attractions. The drives through the Atlas Mountains and desert are scenic and part of the experience.

What is the camel ride like?

The camel ride lasts approximately 1-1.5 hours through the Sahara dunes. Camels walk slowly and steadily — no experience is needed. You will ride at sunset or sunrise for the best experience. Each person has their own camel, led by an experienced Berber guide.

What are the desert camps like?

Our luxury desert camps feature private tents with real beds, hot showers, electricity, and Wi-Fi. You will enjoy traditional Berber dinner, live drumming music around a campfire, and an incredible starry sky. Standard camps are also available at lower prices.

What should I wear in the Sahara desert?

Comfortable, loose clothing is best. In spring/autumn, bring a light jacket for evenings. In summer, wear light fabrics, a hat, and sunscreen. In winter, bring a warm jacket as desert nights can be cold (5-10°C). Comfortable shoes or sandals are recommended for walking on sand.
