Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen

Reception at the port of Tangier and the journey will begin entering the Rif and reaching Chefchaouen, the Berber city meaning “horn”. This beautiful location stands out for the contrast of its white houses arranged in different planes on the highlighted green area irrigated by the river. Dinner and overnight at hotel or riad.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

After breakfast, departure to Fes. Visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis and then to Meknes, where you will explore the old medina of this imperial city surrounded by walls. Night in the hotel or riad in Fes.

Day 3 : Fes Guided Tour

The whole day will be dedicated to Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco, founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II. You will visit the Medina, Médersas Attarine, Fontaine Ennajarine, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the Karawiyin Mosque and the new medina. In the evening, check into the hotel or riad.

Day 4: Fes - Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert

In the morning start to the desert village of Merzouga via Azrou, the cedar forests and Ziz gorge. You can stop for lunch in Midelt. Late afternoon, arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes and check in to the desert Inn hotel, where you can safely wander into the immediate desert to watch the sunset.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi Desert

Today you will discover the region of Merzouga: you will start in the village having a cup of mint tea and enjoying live Gnawa music. Then, you will explore the desert lake with its different types of birds. Continue to the oasis of Tafilalet, visiting the city of Rissani (the origin of the Alawite dynasty and the former capital of the Alawite sultans) with its fortified villages and souks. In the afternoon, return to the hotel. Camel trek at sunset and overnight stay in a Berber tent in the heart of the dunes.

Day 6: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades valley

Early morning wake up for camel riding and outstanding sunrise. Arriving to the hotel for refreshing and breakfast. Depart to Dades Gorges throught several Berber villages. Visit and lunch in Todra Gorges. Afternoon, continue to Dades Valley. Overnight in the hotel/kasbah in Dades Gorges.

Day 7: Dades Gorges - Ouarzazate

After breakfast continue to the town of Ouarzazate through the road of Thousand Kasbahs and off-road to the Rose valley where you will have time to experience the nomad living in the caves. Continue to Skoura palmerie. Visit to Aridhyl Kasbah and then, Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazat. Overnight in the Riad/Kasbah in Ouarzazate.

Day 8 : Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech - Essaouira

After breakfast, we will drive from Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Many movies like Obelix and Gladiator have been filmed in this ancient Berber village. We continue on our way to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n'Tichka pass, with its 2,260 m high, stopping at places with magnificent panoramic views to take pictures. Lunch in Marrakech, and follow the road to Essaouira. Night in hotel or riad.

Day 9: Essaouira - Marrakech

After breakfast, visit the old city of Essaouira accompanied by a local guide or by yourself. Rest of time to enyoy the beach. About 3 o’clock in the afternoon, drive back to Marrakech. Overnight in a hotel or Riad.

Day 10: Marrakech Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, the group will have a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the Bahia and Badi Palaces, the Saadian Tombs, the Menara basin and many other hidden treasures. Lunch will be in one of the finest traditional restaurants in Marrakech.

After lunch, you will continue with the tour on the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el Fna, one of the center attractions of Marrakech. Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, and mouth-watering barbeque, the square is well worth a visit.

Day 11: Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat - Asilah

Early morning departure to Casablanca. Visit the Mosque of Hassan II, then continue to Asilah on the coast road through Rabat and Larach. Overnight in Hotel in Asilah.

Day 12 : Asilah - Tangier

Spend the morning in the beach and visiting the medina of Asilah then to the port to take the ferry back.

What is the camel ride like?

The camel ride lasts approximately 1-1.5 hours through the Sahara dunes. Camels walk slowly and steadily — no experience is needed. You will ride at sunset or sunrise for the best experience. Each person has their own camel, led by an experienced Berber guide.

What are the desert camps like?

Our luxury desert camps feature private tents with real beds, hot showers, electricity, and Wi-Fi. You will enjoy traditional Berber dinner, live drumming music around a campfire, and an incredible starry sky. Standard camps are also available at lower prices.

What should I wear in the Sahara desert?

Comfortable, loose clothing is best. In spring/autumn, bring a light jacket for evenings. In summer, wear light fabrics, a hat, and sunscreen. In winter, bring a warm jacket as desert nights can be cold (5-10°C). Comfortable shoes or sandals are recommended for walking on sand.
