Day 1: Fes

We will transfer you from the airport to your hotel in Fes, and then we will visit the new part of the city. Fes was founded by Idris I in the 12th century and was for half a century the cultural capital of the Berber dynasty of the Almohads. It is one of the most interesting cities due to its history and the richness of its crafts, which has earned it the title of artisan capital of Morocco. It houses one of the largest medinas in the Arab world. You will discover the most fascinating places in Fes, such as the madrasas (Koranic schools), the souk (market), which impresses with the quantity and variety of spices it offers, Karauin, the oldest university in the world, its mosques, squares, the potters' quarter, its palaces and museums. After dinner, we sleep in the riad.

Day 2: Fes - Merzouga (camel Excursion & overnight)

After breakfast, we depart to the Middle Atlas Mountains. We'll stop in the charming town of Ifrane, also called as Switzerland of Morocco. We'll cross the great cedar forests. Further south, we will pass the mountains of the High Atlas to arrive to Errachidia, where the first big palms of the trip will appear. These fancy trees create an oasis of greenery ideal for growing all kinds of fruit trees and vegetables. Then, we reach Erfoud, the economic capital of the Tafilalet region. In this area, the fossils abound, testifying to an ancient past covered by the sea. From here, the asphalt disappears, and we'll take the Saharan dirt roads to reach the village of Merzouga. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: 4x4 Sahara Tour around Erg Chebbi

Today, we explore Erg Chebbi more deeply. We visit the town of Khamlia and discover small villages and inhabited houses in unexpected places, far from civilization. We'll also visit the nomads, and you'll change the 4×4 to a camel ride to go with them to spend the night in the desert under the sky. Overnight in nomad tents in desert.

Day 4: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades valley - Ouarzazate

After breakfast, departure to Rissani, the sourcing center of ancient caravans from the Sahara. We continue our journey through a semidesert landscape to reach the oasis of Tinghir - possibly one of the most beautiful places in Morocco. Then, we pass the Todra river with its impressive gorges that reach over 300 m high. We'll visit the village and take the road of a thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, one of the most important cities of southern Morocco, known for its intense and cinematic activity. This magic city was the set to mythic movies as Gladiator, Troy, and The Mummy. Then, we'll visit of the kasbah of Taourirt. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, we take the road towards Ait Ben Haddou, the queen of kasbahs and Unesco World Heritage. Later, we will visit one of the most beautiful roads of Morocco to the Kasbah of Telouet, also known as Glaoui Palace. We continue our trip passing through the port of highest mountain in Morocco . Tzin Tichca (2,260 m) to reach the imperial city of Marrakech. Overnight at riad.

Day 6: Marrakech city Tour

After breakfast, we spend the full day to visit Marrakech, the so-called "red city" because of the color of its walls. This fascinating imperial city is filled with gardens watered by underground wells (khettaras), which were built by the Almoravids and Saharan nomads in the 11th century. The Menara Gardens, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia, the Majorelle Gardens and souks are some of the unavoidable places that you'll discover. A unique experience will be to explore the square Djemaa El Fna, where life and activity of the city is concentrated: dancers, storytellers, jugglers, artisans, merchants, and snake charmers. Overnight in Marrakech at a local riad.

Day 7: Marrakech - transfer to Airport

Free time until we transfer you to the airport before your flight departure and end of our services.

What is the camel ride like?

The camel ride lasts approximately 1-1.5 hours through the Sahara dunes. Camels walk slowly and steadily — no experience is needed. You will ride at sunset or sunrise for the best experience. Each person has their own camel, led by an experienced Berber guide.

What are the desert camps like?
