Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Our staff will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Free time to have a first contact with the city. Dinner (not included). Accommodation in Marrakech (You can arrive at any time on the first day).

Day 2: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Gorges

Breakfast. Departure to begin the journey to the Sahara Desert. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains (2,260m) where we will make several stops to enjoy the wonderful panoramic views. We will continue to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a Berber fortress considered the most beautiful in the country and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many movies have been filmed here, such as Game of Thrones, Prince of Persia, Jesus of Nazareth and Gladiator. Here we will have lunch (not included). We will continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs passing through Berber villages until we reach our destination, the Dades Valley. Dinner and accommodation included.

Day 3: Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Sahara Desert

Breakfast. Departure to the Todra Gorges, known for being one of the most impressive rocky canyons in the country with more than 300 meters high. We continue our journey until we reach the desert where we will change our means of transport: camels. We will discover how nomads have traveled for centuries. We will stop to watch the sunset and go sandboarding. Upon arrival at the camp, an excellent mint tea and a delicious traditional Moroccan dinner await us. With Berber drum music, we will enjoy a unique and unforgettable night, contemplating the immensity of the sky covered by a blanket of stars that populate the desert nights. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 4: Sahara Desert - Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

If you wish, you can get up early to enjoy one of the most unforgettable events of your stay in the Sahara, the sunrise: a spectacle of light and silence that will impress spectators. Breakfast and return to Marrakech. Arrival approximately at 7:30 PM. Accommodation included. (Dinner not included)

Day 5: Marrakech

Breakfast. In the morning (between 9 am - 1 pm) we will have a guided tour to discover the city of Marrakech. We will start with the Koutoubia Minaret (13th century), sister of the Giralda of Seville, which is today the lighthouse and spiritual center of Marrakech. Then we will visit the Bahia Palace (16th century), symbol of aristocratic life in the Muslim Middle Ages, where we will see the ambassadors' hall with its cedar wood ceiling. Then we will go to "Jemaa el Fna Square" declared a World Heritage Site (starts around 09:00 and ends at 13:00). At the indicated time, our staff will take care of transferring passengers to Marrakech airport. End of the trip and end of our services (2 hours before the flight).

We use comfortable riads (traditional Moroccan guesthouses) and hotels, typically 3-4 star. In the desert, you stay in a luxury camp with private tents. All accommodations include breakfast, and most include dinner.

How long are the driving distances?

Driving times vary from 3-6 hours per day depending on the route, with regular stops at scenic viewpoints, villages, and attractions. The drives through the Atlas Mountains and desert are scenic and part of the experience.

What is the camel ride like?

The camel ride lasts approximately 1-1.5 hours through the Sahara dunes. Camels walk slowly and steadily — no experience is needed. You will ride at sunset or sunrise for the best experience. Each person has their own camel, led by an experienced Berber guide.

What are the desert camps like?

Our luxury desert camps feature private tents with real beds, hot showers, electricity, and Wi-Fi. You will enjoy traditional Berber dinner, live drumming music around a campfire, and an incredible starry sky. Standard camps are also available at lower prices.

What should I wear in the Sahara desert?

Comfortable, loose clothing is best. In spring/autumn, bring a light jacket for evenings. In summer, wear light fabrics, a hat, and sunscreen. In winter, bring a warm jacket as desert nights can be cold (5-10°C). Comfortable shoes or sandals are recommended for walking on sand.
